PUEBLO WEST -

Colorado Parks and Wildlife officers and Pueblo West firefighters rescued an 18-year-old man who fell about 100 feet from the Liberty Point Overlook near Lake Pueblo Monday night.

Wildlife officers said the man, who hasn't been identified, was watching the sunset when rocks gave out beneath him, causing him to fall about 100 feet.

CPW said he suffered leg injuries and was conscious and alert when he was transported to the hospital.

Right now authorities are calling it an accident and say no drugs or alcohol was involved at this point.
