Arrest in double homicide of teens

EL PASO COUNTY -

Deputies with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office have arrested a man they believe killed two teenagers then left their bodies on Old Pueblo Road.  Gustavo Marquez, 19, is being held at without bond at the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center on charges of First Degree Murder, Kidnapping, Aggravated Robbery and Child Abuse Resulting in Death.

The arrest happened on Sunday, but was announced Monday, the same day friends and family of 16-year-old Natalie Partida gathered at St. Mary's Cathedral for her funeral mass.

A memorial services for 15-year-old Derek Greer is scheduled for Saturday from 4-7 p.m. at Angelus Chapel Funeral Directors. 

The families are still searching for answers as to how and why their children died. Greer's parents told News 5 the teens were together at a friend's house the day before they were found dead. They started getting worried when they hadn't heard from them on Sunday when the El Paso County Sheriff's Office called.

While investigators are handling the case as a double homicide, details on how they died have not been released. The coroner's office is awaiting further testing before releasing a cause of death. 

The person who called 911 found the bodies on the side of the road in a rural part of the county.
