Pueblo mother pleads for return of stolen specialized stroller

Posted: Updated:

A Pueblo mother is pleading for the return of her child's specialized stroller that was stolen this weekend.

Maryalicia Verdecchia says her family spent two years raising money for their "Ainsley's Angels Freedom Push Chair," which helps Verdecchia's 9-year-old, Katie, get around.

Katie is non-verbal and has Aicardi syndrome, asthma, and autism.

After returning from a 5K run this weekend, Maryalicia took Katie inside her home to change clothes. When she went back outside, the stroller was gone.

"Please return my daughter's chair. She just got it and it's a wonderful chair for children with disabilities," Maryalicia said.

They're looking for a blue Advance Mobility freedom push running stroller. Maryalicia said she just wants it back, no questions asked.

More on this story coming up tonight on News 5 at 10.
