Your Healthy Family: Managing election results stress

Nathan Mesnikoff the Director of Spiritual Care with UCHealth Memorial Hospital who has some great advice as we head into election night 2016.  Later tonight we will likely know who the President of the United States will be, and the results will take an emotional toll, both positive and negative on most Americans.  

Nathan points out no matter what happens in this election, keeping a healthy perspective can go a long way toward peace of mind.  

"I think one of the most important things is to realize you are not alone, a lot of people are feeling stressed about this election but we have to be careful not to buy too much into the hype.  The country has been around 240 years or so we will survive this and we will all be ok.  You may not like the outcome of election, but 4 years later we will get to make another choice."

And remember between now and the next election if you care about the direction of our country no matter who the President is, be active in a peaceful and meaningful way in our democratic process.
