    The holiday season is special for many of us as we spend time with friends and family and exchange gifts.  For kids just entering foster care, this is quite possibly the first time they'll experience the magic of the Christmas season.

    Over the past year, we've been sharing heart warming stories of triumph and success through the foster-adoption program in El Paso County in our "Tuesday's Child" segment - which airs on News 5 at six on Tuesday nights.  The local child placement agency "Hope & Home" has worked hand-in-hand with us to try and shed a positive light on foster care and the difference it makes in the lives of children in need.

    For a couple with almost all of their seven biological kids grown and out of the house, you'd think they would have been ready for a break.  But instead, they became certified foster parents and were willing to help other children in need.

    One-year-old Lena is as cute as can be, "She is the light of our lives, truly. She is so full of personality. Just so full of energy, charismatic, hilarious... just the best thing that's happened to us," says her mom Sherry.
